The first professional rating, taken over weeks rather than days, working alongside a crew that has been guiding these reefs since 1980.
This is an apprenticeship more than a class. You are on the boat with us, briefing, guiding under supervision, handling gear, and learning the hundred small judgements that separate a certified diver from a professional.
Ricardo has been training divemasters here for four decades and the current staff came up this way. Talk to us before you book so we can be honest with you about timing and about what it takes.
Weeks 1 to 2
You start where the work is. Loading, gear handling, dive site setup, and watching how briefings are actually given to eight strangers with different experience.
Middle
The twenty-four demonstration quality skills, the watermanship assessments, and the mapping and rescue work that separate a good diver from a divemaster.
Final weeks
You brief and lead real divers with an instructor behind you, on the same reefs this crew has been guiding since 1980.
